In my Groups Rube Goldberg project we had multiple simple machines of  which included a inclined plane, screw, pulley, and a wedge. The inclined plane was used to transport a marble from the ruler to the bucket. In Order to have the bucket go down there had to be a pulley that sent something up when the bullet went down. To have enuf weight weight to impact the the marble we used an screw to slide down the pull and hit  the marbles of the edge of the cardboard. The wedge was used to cut a string that held down the flag that need to be lifted in order to trigger the next step.We used potential energy ,kinetic energy and, movement to make objects met with force. In are Rube Goldberg project the marble on top of the  third step had the most potential energy when the block from the second step hit the marble it turns it into kinetic energy which move through the step that moved fast enuf to hit the swirl off the leaf setting off the next step. Therefore this shows that there were at least three simple tools and three principles of physics in my groups project.

Next, If I was to start  my rube  with a 7.0 gram ball that is 50 centimeters big my potential energy would be .034335 because .007 ×.5×9.81=.034335 there for that would be the pe.

The kinetic energy of the ball would be .0496125

Lastly as I reflect on my rube goldberg in the I kept the elevador  idea they see that  in the end didn't end up in are rube goldberg. The elevador idea was originally from my three step rube .throughout this project i could see my greatest strength was creativity and my biggest area of growth was critical thinking. I used Creativity to come up with my steps then i grow my critical thing by making sure it would work.

Trebuchet Project

Reflection Questions

1. Which location and time period did you choose to represent in your trebuchet design? How does your trebuchet represent this location and time period?

Are trebuchet is base of medieval Ireland we show this through making in are support beams castles/towers and giving it the design of this castles.

2. The 21st-century skills involved in this project were creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and communication. Which of these skills do you feel was your strongest soft skill during this project? Which do you feel was your greatest area of growth? Reflect on and describe why you selected these skills, and support your response with direct evidence from the project.

My strength in this project was creativity because I kept trying to get the right cut out the shape for the roof of the castle until I got it wich, in the end, we didn’t use because it didn’t work well with the arm of the trebuchet. My area of growth in these project would be perseverance being that

We didn’t manage after time well enough to be able to polish up our work.
